Four options for sub-base

Asphalt Foundation

Asphalt Bases are divided into ordinary asphalt base and drainage asphalt base.

●  Ordinary asphalt base is relatively cheaper as the preferred alternative for race track base.

●  Drainage asphalt base is well stable, freeze-proof and crack-resistant, while the disadvantage lies in the high costs and complicated construction.

●  Asphalt bases are widely applicable to most artificial turf lawn, whereas the drawback still rests with the high

Concrete Foundation

●  Cement base comes with the benefits of short-term construction period, lower costs and good performance of water drainage.

●  Cement base is priced properly as the first choice for artificial turf base.

Cement Mountain Flour Foundation

●  Applicable to most artificial turf field base, lower costs compared with cement base.

●  Shortcoming rests with the weakly limited choice in the ways of water drainage.

Gravel Foundation

●  The most cost-effective and economical base among the artificial turf field bases with the lowest costs.

●  Good performance of water drainage, while there will be comparatively more issues including poor evenness and stability etc.

●  Applicable in the filed construction with an original base of exceptional stability.

Drainage Solution:

●  Materials for foundation construction should be inspected before use. 

●  Appearance of foundation: uniform, solid and flawless; the seam shall be smooth without stagnant water.

●  Water testing:  120min after raining, water≤4mm is allowed. 

●  After foundation finished, re-test floor level by 10×10m square grid and calculate the drainage gradient which should be ≤0.7% and the deviation shall be<1.5‰.

●  The rolling compaction of stable layer shall be ≥93%.

●  The qualified ratio for evenness, gradient and level shall reach 85% at least.

●  Allowable deviation of thickness is ±10%.
